Position: Groupwork Quality and Development Officer 
Location: Home based with extensive travel across England and Wales 
Contract type: Permanent 
Salary: £25,000 per annum

About the role: 

The post holder will take a key role in the delivery of our client's relationship and parenting group work ensuring that wider delivery is conducted in line with their quality standards. As well as directly delivering group work, you will deliver training to staff members and freelance associates, as well as supporting and coaching them as they deliver on behalf of the organisation. 

The role will assist in keeping group work materials and evaluation data up to date and you will develop new content, learning materials and assist with wider group work services under guidance. Through this work, you will contribute to reducing the risk of re-offending, and improve outcomes for offenders’ children and family members. 

About you: 

It is essential that you have experience of working with offenders either in custody or in the community and with children and families facing social exclusion. You should also have experience of delivering successful group work programmes to offenders and of delivering training to staff members and/or other professionals. 

Knowledge and understanding of best practice in safeguarding adults and child protection is vital, as is experience of collecting and recording data and using it to inform practice. An adult training qualification is also essential as are excellent communication skills, and being effective in the use of ICT. 

This role requires national travel according to the needs of the job across agreed geographic areas. The post is subject to a Satisfactory DBS check, pre-employment checks and Prison Security Clearance.
