Every year, around 30,000 people in Scotland are told they have cancer. That number is predicted to grow within the next 5 years due to an ageing population. That means every one of us knows or will know someone affected.

Beatson Cancer Charity provides hope and help in the form of research which aims to end this killer illness and the best of care for those who’ve been diagnosed.

If you are an experienced and accomplished community fundraiser with management experience then you could play a significant part in helping this world-renowned charity.

This person will be instrumental in successfully delivering the Community Fundraising Strategy. You will be responsible for building and managing the community fundraising team of local community supporters and volunteers and the Community Fundraiser. Many current and former patients and their families, friends and colleagues see their involvement in fundraising for the Beatson Cancer Charity as part of their cancer journey and you will play a key role in supporting it with this.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced fundraiser who has developed and managed community fundraising strategies. You will have excellent communication skills and experience of communicating to a variety of audiences from volunteers to presenting sponsorship pitches.
