Position: Head of Community Fundraising 
Location: National role, home based 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £ 40k to 45k pa, depending on experience, plus benefits

About the role: 
Reporting to the director of fundraising, this full time position will be working with community fundraising for: Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance and Warwickshire, Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, and Children’s Air ambulance. 

You will lead and develop the community fundraising team to achieve organisational objectives, driving income generation and volunteer recruitment on a national scale. You will maintain and raise awareness of the charity, both locally and nationally, as well as implementing fundraising campaigns on a national level. 

About you: 
Successful candidates will be able to display a creative and entrepreneurial approach, with good working knowledge of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK. You will have extensive experience of leading fundraising activities on a national level and experience of matrix management in a complex multi-disciplinary environment. 

Experience of setting and delivering a budget, of leading and coaching people and a genuine passion and interest in the work and values of The Air Ambulance Service are essential to success in this role. You will be a confident, articulate and engaging communicator with personal resilience and emotional intelligence. Strong working knowledge of donor databases would also be extremely useful. Ideally, candidates will have experience of building extensive networks and of presenting at major forums.
