Pause Chief Executive
Salary: up to 85K (commensurate with skills and experience)
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the growth of Pause, an innovative and ambitious charity which in a short time has achieved high impact, generated a national profile and secured substantial financial backing.
Pause works with women who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing repeat pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care.
Our programme gives women the chance to 'pause' and to take control of their lives, breaking destructive trans-generational cycles that cause both them and their children deep trauma, as well as generating huge costs to society and to the taxpayer.
The success of Pause to date in seven pilot areas has created the opportunity for rapid national growth. Further backing from the DfE and others now makes it possible for Pause to support more women across more areas to bring about long-lasting systemic and cultural change.
Our founder and current Chief Executive, Sophie Humphreys, having led Pause to a strong position where it is ready for its next phase of growth, will now become Chair of the Board of Trustees. This will enable her to act as a guardian of the model, maximise her ambassadorial activity and increase Pause's capacity to influence practice and policy nationally.
As the new Chief Executive you will provide strategic and inspirational leadership to develop Pause into a sustainable national social enterprise. You will lead and develop a happy and high performing team, setting a collaborative tone for the relationship between Pause and Pause Practices nationally, enthusing all those involved within our excellent organisation.
