Support Worker (Charity / Housing Association) 
Our client is a registered housing association providing housing and support primarily for single homeless people. 

Position: Support Worker Opportunities 
Location: Doncaster, Salford, Eastbourne, Braintree, Newhaven 
Hours: Relief, Days and Nights 
Salary: Competitive and dependent on position and number of hours

About the role: 
The Support Worker will provide a consistent support service to the residents of the Supported Housing service, primarily during the night time hours and proactively work with tenants of the project by providing information, advice and guidance as appropriate. 

You will offer support, guidance and encouragement to local young people including residents and visitors and provide up to date and accurate information relating to clients and the service as a whole. You will prevent anti-social behaviour and respond to it quickly and effectively when reported. You will also produce and maintain an accurate recording system regarding reports. 

You will safeguard and promote the welfare of individuals and families that come to their attention and maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and colleagues. You will also undertake basic maintenance and DIY tasks as requested by the Project Manager. 

About you: 
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working with or supporting young people or vulnerable adults and a working knowledge of the diversity issues in Supported Housing. 

You will have a high standard of written and spoken English to write incident reports and case notes. You will be IT literate, comfortable with using MS Office applications. You will also have flexibility with working hours to accommodate working to a rota and have the ability to work outside normal working hours in accordance with the needs of the business. 

Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a Supported Housing setting and knowledge of supporting people. A full driving licence would also be an advantage. 

You may have experience of the following: Support Worker, Care Assistant, Housing Association, Residential Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Voluntary Sector, Charity, NFP, Not for Profit etc.
