Senior Legacy Acquisition Executive
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legacy Acquisition Executive to implement a legacy acquisition programme, to recruit new prospects and pledgers to drive forward ambitious growth plans to help fund our work.
This post is part of a growing Individual Giving team responsible for direct marketing, legacy and in-memory income streams and generating an annual income stream of around £6.5 million, of which legacies contribute nearly £2 million.
In this role, you will implement and develop a legacy acquisition strategy to market the leaving of Gifts in Wills, and increase the number of legacies received. You will engage with staff, volunteers and supporters all over the UK. You will also incorporate key learnings from legacy stewardship programmes into the legacy acquisition programmes.
What we want from you
To be successful, you’ll need to have project managed legacy acquisition campaigns from planning through campaign briefing, overseeing agency design, copywriting and editing. You will also have experience of briefing and managing data processing, print and production process, reporting financial and non financial KPIs and setting up backend procedures. Ideally, you will have managed Gifts in Wills events. You’ll need experience of using databases, and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge and First Class would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge in delivering a legacy promotion culture, working with stakeholders from across the organisation and utilising legacy offerings such as Free Wills Month, Free Wills Network campaigns and the annual Remember a Charity campaign, to acquire new legacy prospects and pledgers, is essential.
