This charity is seeking a proactive, skilled Information and Communications Officer to manage communications for their volunteering service. The role supports the promotion of the service to new and seasoned volunteers as well as to local volunteer involving organisations.

37.5 hours per week
Location: London Waterloo, & the charity’s other London Offices with a pan-London outreach

The volunteering services match volunteers with organisations that need their help, and it also develops and delivers training and support for volunteer involving organisations.

You will be a key team member, developing the bespoke communications strategies for each borough to support the brokerage coordinator to meet the key performance indicators for each council/borough contract.

You will lead the team on communication: managing and developing their four service websites; continuing to grow their impact on social media; gathering and producing promotional materials; delivering campaigns; developing content for their email bulletins to both volunteers and volunteer involving organisations; and coordinating the communications for events.

They are looking for someone who will enjoy working as part of a team and who will also show creativity and strong initiative in developing the volunteering services communications strategy. Being able to effectively engage volunteers, organisations and Council clients will be an important part of the role, as will being able to manage multiple communications priorities.
