Our client helps museums and galleries take their ambitions for their collections and audiences further. With acquisitions funding at its core, their charitable programme also supports the development of curatorial expertise and activities to engage wider audiences.
Development Manager, Legacies, Gifts and Bequests (part time 3 days per week)
Location: King’s Cross, London
Other details: Salary c. £35k (FTE)
A rare opportunity has arisen to join this charity as a specialist in legacy fundraising, leading on the promotion of legacy giving, the stewardship of legacy pledgers and the administration of legacy gifts.
Legacies make up around 20% of the charity's annual income, with gifts ranging from a few thousand pounds to several million. They also facilitate the gifting of works of art to museums and galleries by collectors during and after their lifetimes. This role underpins their work with legators and donors both through one to one relationship building and marketing strategies to reach their wider audiences.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing the promotion and administration of legacy gifts and the ability to advise and guide donors in relation to gifts of works of art.
