We require an innovative, dynamic committed Christian to lead this professional organisation.  With significant experience in fundraising or international development, you will have strong business acumen and be an inspirational leader with proven strategic management experience.

The Leprosy Mission England and Wales (TLMEW) is a leading Christian international development organisation with over 140 years of experience.  TLMEW’s purpose is to support more than 50 projects in 11 countries by achieving fundraising targets in excess of £8 million per annum, at the same time raising awareness and understanding of the prevalence, causes and effects of leprosy on individuals and communities.

TLMEW is a member of the TLM worldwide Global Fellowship.  The Fellowship is active in 32 countries and addresses the causes and consequences of leprosy, ranging from health and livelihoods to advocacy, water and sanitation.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will be responsible for defining and developing TLMEW’s strategic plan, leading and inspiring staff to continue growing the income of TLMEW through fundraising and to work with TLM Fellowship partners to deliver sustainable projects to support our beneficiaries

TLMEW is an explicitly Christian organization, and part of your role will be to represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences; provide Christian leadership and inspire churches and individual Christians to pray for the Mission’s work.  There is therefore an occupational requirement for the ND to be a practising Christian.
