This is a great opportunity to work as a Community Fundraiser for a national charity. 

Our client is an assistance dog charity which transforms the lives of disabled people through partnership with their specially trained assistance dogs. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Community Fundraiser to join the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications department covering the North and the Midlands. 

Position: Community Fundraiser 
Location: Osgathorpe, Leicestershire 
Job type: Permanent 
Hours: Part time - 22.5 hours per week 
Salary: £18,909 - £23,636 dependent on experience (pro rata for part time)

About the role: 

Assisting the Community Engagement Manager, you will help implement the Charity’s Community Fundraising Strategy for the Midlands and North. You will support their fantastic volunteers and help to maximise their income and awareness of their work. 

The post-holder will develop networks of regional fundraising committees, support groups and volunteer ambassadors. You will represent the Charity at events and give presentations about their work. 

Maximising income from corporate “Charity of the Year” and seeking more corporate partnerships is a vital part of this role. You will also maximise income and participation from events and challenges, promoting uptake of their events campaigns and assist with the organisation of events. You will build strong relationships with volunteers, identifying ways to build and maintain their loyalty. 

About you: 

A proven track record of fundraising and generating substantial income and support is vital, as is the ability to manage, negotiate with, motivate and enthuse individuals and groups. You will play a vital part in the success of our client, and should be able to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks in a very busy Charity. 

You should be a confident and engaging public speaker who can communicate effectively at all levels. You will also be confident communicating with volunteers, staff, their partners, and visitors. You must be self-organised and customer focussed with great attention to detail and have the ability to work methodically and accurately under pressure, allowing you to meet tight deadlines. 

You may have experience of the following: Community Fundraiser, Fundraising, Charity, Not for Profit, Third Sector, Volunteer Management, Business Development, Legacy, Fundraiser, Volunteer Manager, Charities etc.
