Why work for us?

Wanted:  a pro-active HR professional with energy, enthusiasm and a passion for international development.

This is an excellent time to join CIUK. In late 2015 we launched our new CARE UK strategy, aligning with an ambitious Global Programme strategy.  With a clear focus on people, we want people to say ‘CIUK is one of the best employers in the sector’. We have committed to investing in our staff, ensuring they have the skills to deliver our ambitious plans – but also that they have the ways and means to work effectively across the organisation – whether that’s within the London office or globally.

About you

A talented HR professional, you will be solution-focussed with a track record of dealing with complex HR tasks in a busy, and often changing, environment.  You have the knack of getting the detail right, whilst being able to elevate yourself to see the wider strategy.

You have experience of supporting change programmes, as well as developing and disseminating policies.  You are confident in working independently and at times collaboratively, and will instinctively know which approach is best in differing situations.

About the role

You will lead on major pieces of strategic work which align and contribute to our strategy. Through a business partner approach, your team will support managers with developing and retaining talent; supporting at times of change; advising on reward; providing guidance on all aspects of recruitment and selection.

As a member of the leadership team you will contribute to the wider organisational strategies, always connecting plans to the programme strategy and how the HR team will help to achieve this.

About CARE

CARE International is one of the world’s leading humanitarian and development charities. We fight poverty and injustice in the world’s most vulnerable places.  We save lives in disasters and conflicts. We stand with women, girls and their communities to achieve lasting change for a better future. A member of the DEC – our humanitarian work is recognised as world-leading and we are proud to work in collaboration with our sector colleagues.
