At Citizens Advice Derbyshire Districts we give free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects.
We work with our clients to sort out any debt worries and claim all the benefits they may be entitled to. We help with housing and employment problems, or deal with queries about consumer or tax issues. We advise on legal matters, answer questions about immigration, and we have lots of experience on family and personal matters too.
Location: Ilkeston Derbyshire, East Midlands
Salary: £23,124 pa, pro rata (18 Hour post) Contract until March 2018
We have an opportunity for an outreach advice worker to join our existing team which provides an excellent generalist advice service for customers.
This 18 Hour post is to provide face to face generalist advice from a number of outreach locations across Erewash and Amber Valley. The post will include travel around the localities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced advisor with excellent generalist advice skills. A good understanding of the welfare benefits system along with an understanding of welfare reform will be essential. You will be required to work independently in an outreach setting.
Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential in the role, as is the ability to effectively communicate with our customers with a non-judgemental approach.
