Dementia Support Manager   A critical Support Manager role for a UK charity leading the fight against dementia.    Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

About the Role:   The purpose of the role is to provide support to people with dementia and their carers helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. Also, to assist people with dementia and their carers to identify their needs and to access services, as well as manage Dementia Support Workers and Dementia Advisers.   You will be responsible for the recruitment, supervision, appraisal, induction, development and performance management of support workers, advisers and volunteers working within the service; and to ensure that they are all adequately trained, supported and supervised in accordance with relevant policies and quality standards   About You:   You will possess NVQ level 3, or equivalent, good communication skills and have an understanding of dementia.
