£22,700 - £23,900 per annum (FTE: £28,000 - £29,500) (earning potential up to £25,100 FTE: £30,900) per annum

Our client is currently recruiting for a Service Manager to oversee the operation of their Extra Care service in Saxmundham. You will ensure there is an effective working partnership between staff, operational policy and external agencies resulting in tenants receiving high quality support to allow them to maintain their independence. You will also be the Registered Manager of the service with the Care Quality Commission.

Responsibilities will include completing void reports for empty accommodation, overseeing lettings and allocations, monitoring rent accounts and providing housing and welfare benefits advice to tenants. As well as Housing Management, you will oversee the delivery of care to tenants and regularly monitor and review care and support plans.  

As Service Manager you will also manage and supervise staff within the service and take a lead role in the recruitment and selection of new employees, including volunteers.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Health and Social Care and management qualification and have previous experience in a similar role. With proven experience of managing staff teams, you will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Strong working knowledge of Domiciliary Care Standards the essential standards of quality and safety in a care environment are essential.

Due to the nature of this role a flexible approach and an ability to work on call is required along with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
