Client is a high profile higher education organisation based within London


* Perform market, competitor and internal research

* Collate and prepare marketing statistics, from applications, web analytics, social media and other channels to evidence our marketing performance

* Monitor and develop strategy to create a positive and continued social media activity to boost PR

* Manage the Digital Engagement Officer to ensure social media initiatives leading up to student application opening and during allocations are done in line with internal guidelines

* Create and update marketing database to track commercial developments

* Create and implement the overall Marketing & Communications delivery plan for the department

* Develop and further review marketing materials in accordance to business needs (aimed at current, prospective students and staff)

* Direct the direct report to source and post entries on social media, as well as proactively encouraging stakeholders to supply regular posts and engage them in social media campaigns

* Project manage the design, development and co-ordination of internal/external marketing and PR campaigns (internal and external).

* Measure effectiveness of campaigns and marketing material using qualitative and quantitative methods. This will include setting KPIs , carrying out market research with students and other members of the organisation and running focus groups if necessary.

* Proactively liaise with the communications and Marketing Department to promote the department activities through centrally managed print and online media, as well as suggesting news stories relation to the department for publication.

* Work closely with the Communications and Marketing Department to organise open days; ensuring teams representing the department on Open Days are given the equipment, collateral and training to do so.

* Responsive for managing the Marketing and communications budget within the department.


Excellent command of English, including writing creative and engaging copy, proof-reading and correcting content, presentation and public speaking skills.

Knowledge of one or more current web mark-ip or scripting languages such as HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript

Ability to work independently and take decision but know when to seek guidance and deliver to deadlines

Highly creative and skilled in using social media channels to deliver effective and engagement marketing communications, whilst supporting world-class corporate image an understanding of the briefing and design process, demonstrated by the production of marketing campaigns, including promotional materials 3 years + experience designing front end user interface web solutions (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver)

Experience of content management systems Digital and social media experience

Experience of managing budgets and maximising their effectiveness

Strong working knowledge of printing, publishing and/or graphics arts procedures
