Team Leader (Charity / Learning Disabilities) 

An exciting role supporting and empowering individuals with learning disabilities. 

Our client is an independent charity, whose mission is to empower and support people of all ages with a learning disability, and their families and carers, from across Cambridgeshire. 

Position: Support Worker (Team Leader) 
Location: Cambridgeshire 
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week) 
Starting Salary: £22,553 (range up to £24,604) 

Closing date: 30th September 2016 

About the role: 

The main purpose of this role is to support the Service Manager in effective day to day running of the service. You will carry out delegated responsibilities in administration and staff management. The post holder will liaise with other professionals who work with the people we support, and have regular contact with their family and friends. 

You will provide person centred support to people with learning and physical disabilities. Providing support to the individuals we support is vital to this role, as you will ensure the highest standard of support is maintained at all times, whilst preparing health plans, and promoting independence. 

About you: 

You should have good basic literacy and numeracy skills and be prepared to undertake further relevant training. A recognised qualification in Health and Social Care, and the ability to drive is essential. Experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a residential care or domiciliary care setting is necessary for this role. You are also required to have good administrative skills. 

The post-holder should be committed to promoting independence and ensuring people are involved within their community. You will be creative, motivated and a great communicator.
