Are you the Fundraiser our charity needs?

Persona Doll Training is a unique, well-established educational charity based in North London. We are seeking a dynamic person with proven experience in securing funding from trusts, grants and statutory sources to ensure the long-term sustainability of the charity in the years ahead.

What we do

Persona Doll Training promotes equality, inclusion and social justice through our tried and tested internationally accepted and evidence based approach. We train practitioners, teachers, and lecturers who in turn work directly with children and students. We produce and supply resources integral to our training e.g. life-like cloth persona dolls that represent a range of ethnicities; DVDs; and books.

Persona doll story-telling sessions build on children’s ability to empathise and empower them to stand up for themselves and others when faced with prejudice and unfairness. While valuing the cultural and family backgrounds of their peers, they are encouraged to feel good about themselves and their cultural and family background. Through listening to and participating in stories woven around the dolls, children are encouraged to appreciate the injustice of the situations presented to them and are motivated to think of possible solutions to the problems the dolls ‘encounter’. Being in the role of problem solvers and decision makers and having their ideas treated with respect, boosts self-esteem and confidence.
