Group Facilitator / Project Facilitator (Family Services) 

An exciting opportunity to deliver a family group work programme for a national charity. 

Our client is a national charity that supports offenders, ex-offenders, and their children and families. 

Position: Family Groupwork Facilitator 
Location: Home based with extensive travel within the East and West Midlands to prisons and CRC offices 
Job type: Full time, Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £20,000 per annum

About the Role: 

The post-holder will be working on a new project in partnership with the local Community Resettlement Company. You will deliver group work courses for young offenders and their families in prisons across the East and West Midlands. 

In this role you will support families to develop their relationships in preparation for a life after imprisonment. Through this work, you will also contribute to reducing the risk of re-offending, and improve outcomes for offenders’ children and family members. 

About You: 

You will have experience of delivering training or groupwork interventions to young people and adults, hold a relevant training qualification and ideally have experience of working in prison. In return you will receive a full induction programme including train the trainer for the various groupwork courses you will be delivering. 
With demonstrable experience of delivering successful training programmes / Interventions to young people and adults, you will have knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practice. You will also have excellent training, presentation and communication skills as well as the effective use of ICT including databases for the recording of course attendance, statistics and outcomes measurements and report writing. 

The postholder will need to be able to travel extensively, so access to a car would be beneficial. The post is subject to a Satisfactory DBS check, pre-employment checks and Prison Security Clearance.
