Media and Public Relations Officer (9 Month FTC)

A high profile health charity is looking for a Media and Public Relations Officer to join their team in London. This is a full time fixed term contract until May 2017. The purpose of this role is to support the charity s press office in delivering brand awareness and fundraising campaigns across the UK. The post holder will be an all-rounder in PR and media relations, but will have strong contacts and experience of engaging consumer media.
Key Responsibilities will include:
-Support the PR team to ensure the majority of coverage achieved in England and devolved countries focusses on who the charity are and what they do.
-Identify key consumer media across the UK
-Work with the Case Study Manager to identify and develop case studies for use in the media
-Support the central team in the dissemination of key media moments across the English regions and devolved countries.
-Provide ad-hoc support to central team on PR activity outside of already agreed parameters
In Order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
-Experienced at delivering campaign reporting, metrics and insights and responding reactively and proactively to current and emerging media agendas.
-Good media and public relations experience.
-Experienced at developing and delivering integrated, measureable communications activity reaching target audience and delivery key messages.
-Good understanding of health sector to ensure a competitive and relevant approach to media strategy development
