Major Gifts Manager
A leading national health charity based in London is looking to appoint a Major Gifts Manager on a permanent basis.
This exciting opportunity will work increase funding between 10,000 to 100,000 from high net worth individuals, grants, trusts and foundations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Focusing on gifts of 10K+ to 100K by initiating and developing long term relationships with supporters and prospective supporters.
Research, cultivation and prospecting of potential donors, managing all confidential information in a sensitive and data protection-compliant manner
Effectively using networks of high level senior volunteers and patrons to generate leads and mobilise introductions
Writing proposals to donors and reports for key stakeholders.
Meeting and exceeding targets, both financial and non-financial as agreed with line-manager
Direct management responsibility for two staff members
In order to apply you should have the following:
Proven ability in fundraising, seeking and securing high-level donations using enhanced influencing and negotiation skills
A track record of having asked for and secured gifts of 10k+ from both trusts and individuals
Ability to work effectively with senior management
Experience delivering and exceeding income targets
Strong communication skills, verbal, writing and editing skills are especially important.
You should be able to produce consistently high quality, imaginative and compelling
Knowledge of tax efficient giving practices and relevant legislature.
