Our client is a successful local charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to be on the management team of a supported living project for 8 adults with a range of learning disabilities including moderate learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical health needs as well as high and complex needs.
As this role will involve supporting 2 different client groups, it is a varied workplace and offers exciting opportunities for personal development.
Working alongside the Project Manager and a team of support workers you will provide excellent person centred care to ensure the tenants wellbeing to enable independent and fulfilled living, take part in a range of meaningful and fun group activities, to develop friendships, to work in partnership with family and advocates where possible and appropriate, to access services, and be supported in all areas of day-to-day living.
With the support of the Project Manager, you will contribute to the development of the team and carry out delegated tasks as outlined in the job description. You will be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.
You will also support the team with the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and support to people with learning disabilities.
The right candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would also be an advantage.
They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality and managing a varied workload, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Our client is committed to staff development and supervision and they will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support to enable the successful candidate to grow within this role.

Salary: £21,211.32 per Annum
Hours: 37 Hours per Week (includes days, evenings and some weekends. The role is made up of 28 hours as a Deputy Manager and 9 hours as a Support Worker)
