Drug and Alcohol Practitioner - Night Support 

£18,054 + £520 for Sleeping Nights + £412 Regional Allowance pro rata

Our client are a UK leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, including 12-Step programmes, delivering treatment and aftercare programmes – in prisons and in the community – which help people move away from addiction and crime. These services provide a variety of support, including advice, counselling, group work and intensive treatment.

They believe that all people who are addicted to or misusing substances should have access to support which is effective in breaking their addiction or misuse. People should be given help and support to address all their needs, so they can transform their lives permanently, including turning away from crime.

Role Overview

Working within The Bridges, a residential rehab for those leaving prison or serving community orders, you will be responsible for delivering counselling and group work services to the clients within the unit as part of a community Substance Abuse Treatment Programme.

To take up this excellent opportunity you will have previous experience of providing a counselling service to this client group, or similar. You will be in possession of a recognised counselling qualification (or the commitment to gain one) and have a thorough knowledge of, and commitment to the 12-step process of recovery.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to set and stick to professional boundaries.

Detailed knowledge of HIV and Hepatitis infection is desirable, but not essential, as the facilitation of therapeutic groups.
