Chief Executive Officer - HemiHelp
Hemiplegia is a lifelong condition caused by injury to the brain. It affects movement on one side of the body to a varying degree – and can also cause other less visible effects such as epilepsy, specific learning difficulties, anxiety or challenging behaviour.
HemiHelp is a charity set up a quarter of a century ago by parents who could not find the information they needed when their children were born. Their services are a response to that need and since then people with hemiplegia and their families have always been at the heart of HemiHelp. They pride themselves on this responsive approach.
Hemiplegia affects one person in every 1,000 – that’s the same level of prevalence as Down’s Syndrome but HemiHelp are the UK’s only specialist hemiplegia information charity; no one else provides high quality information and support that is specific to hemiplegia.
Going into their 25th year, HemiHelp is now seeking a new CEO to work closely with the Board of Trustees to develop the organisation’s business plan, budget and fundraising strategy and take responsibility for the implementation of these plans.
Acting as an ambassador for the organisation, the CEO will build relationships with key stakeholders and will represent HemiHelp at major events. They will also be central to the management, motivation and engagement of staff, volunteers, beneficiaries and prospective donors.
This role would suit someone with excellent management skills, who aspires to be a leader. In this growing organisation there is room for the successful applicant to develop professionally and make their mark. For the right person this will be a challenging but very rewarding and fulfilling role.
If you would like to receive an Information Pack for this role, and details on how to apply, please send your CV to email@example.com. Alternatively, please contact Jenny Hills at Harris Hill Executive Search on 020 7820 7321.
