A Fundraising vacancy for a Philanthropy Manager has arisen with CDP and Prospectus is partnering them on an exclusive basis to assist with sourcing suitable candidates.

CDP runs the only global disclosure system which demonstrates how companies and cities manage their environmental impacts. Thirty-two percent of their income comes from philanthropic sources, and there is significant potential for growth. This is a new role in an expanding team which is highly supported by the Chief Executive and Executive Chair.

Fundraising at CDP is ambitious, dynamic and rewarding. As the Philanthropy Manager you will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy to creatively develop relationships with trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals. Your extensive experience of bespoke account management will shine, as you build successful philanthropic partnerships. You will play a key role in setting and delivering on exciting growth plans. With a team member to support on prospect research and grant management, you'll have space to innovate and put donors first.

To be considered for the role, you should be able to demonstrate proven ability to build and manage a philanthropic income stream, maximising the value of existing and prospective supporters. You will have demonstrable experience of securing grants at a six figure level alongside bespoke proposal and report writing for a philanthropy audience at five and six figure level. You should also have the ability to understand diverse donor motivations and deliver a bespoke relationship to satisfy these. At all times you will feel comfortable adapting written and verbal communications for philanthropic audiences and have excellent face to face, interpersonal, negotiating and persuasive skills. ? ?
This role will suit someone who has the drive and determination to excel at face to face meetings, and influence and achieve long-lasting, mutually-beneficial relationships. As with any expanding organisation there are challenges - you will need to be determined, tenacious and focused on solutions.
