Position: Bid Writer
Location: London although Cambridge/Birmingham would also be options
Salary: £31,500 - £38,000 per annum (plus London Weighting as applicable)
About the role:
This newly created role sits within the national Business Development team. You will need to be willing and able to travel across London and to other locations. You will write targeted, cohesive, winning bids by drawing together the inputs for tenders, bids and grants from colleagues to increase their impact and market reach by retaining and winning new contracts. From the start of the process through to reviewing feedback and incorporating it into standardised responses, this role will ensure that authors persuasive cohesive responses and turns inputs from multiple colleagues into winning proposals.
You will manage the process of drawing together inputs from business development and operations colleagues and others including external stakeholders and agreeing timelines and submitting each bid by agreed sign off deadline.
Your work experience will demonstrate a track record of writing and editing winning bids within competitive tendering processes and assembling bid responses with inputs from multiple stakeholders using both bespoke and standard responses.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and very close attention to detail are prerequisites for this role, as are intermediate IT skills as a minimum.
Ideally, you will have awareness of issues affecting the people they work with such as mental health, learning disabilities or dementia and experience of delivering services within the health and / or social care fields. An understanding of different types of statutory and non-advocacy Advocacy in health, social care and other settings would also be highly advantageous.
