We are working in partnership with an international children’s charity providing specialist health services in Africa, Asia and Central America.  They have a unique twinning approach with a network of international hospitals and volunteer specialists with teams on the ground to improve the health of children around the world to make a lasting difference.

The charity is now recruiting for a new post of Head of New Business who will lead on generating new business across the fundraising portfolio.  The post holder will be tenacious, creative and a self-starter who thrives on identifying new donors and securing their long term support.  You will work with companies and high net worth individuals

Key elements of the role:

• To reach and exceed the annual income target set within the defined expenditure budget
• In liaison with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, to lead on all new business activity for the charity
• A proven track record of identifying and securing significant income from new business leads
• Ability to undertake research and identify new donors
• To work with the Charity’s Programmes Team to identify projects which may be attractive to new business prospects
• Experience of raising significant sums from at least two of the following: corporate, high net worth individuals, large scale events or statuary sources
• A proven track record of setting and managing budgets
• Experience of utilising networking events to generate new leads

The successful candidate for this exciting new role will have a genuine appetite for seeking and securing new business and will be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.   You will have drive and passion and be a positive team player whilst being able to work on your own initiative, prioritising workload to meet tight deadlines.
