Senior Regional Fundraising Officer (Southern Region)
- Contract Type
2016 has seen Brooke launch its ambitious new five-year global strategy following a sustained period of outstanding growth in improving the health and wellbeing of working horses, donkeys and mules across the world. We have achieved this by engaging effectively with communities for better welfare, treatment and veterinary services and through the successful lobbying of key global players to change policy and practice for the mutual benefit of both the animals and their owners – the millions of people whose livelihoods depend on them.
The Brooke currently reach over 1,800,000 working animals and are on track to achieve our goal of reaching 2 million working animals and benefitting 12 million people by the end of 2016.
We actively recruit talented individuals who can bring their professional expertise to a growing organisation which prides itself on being a leading animal welfare INGO operating across a growing number of countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
This is a superb, new opportunity for an experienced community fundraiser to join our dynamic organisation. We are looking for a proactive candidate with experience of working with individuals, voluntary groups, organisations and regional or local businesses to achieve great results. In addition the role will be responsible for marketing events and products, with the primary function of driving the greatest net income for Brooke.
We are looking for someone who will be comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision but part of a wider team to achieve the optimum outcome for Brooke -someone with a can-do attitude and a solution focussed approach in tackling challenges.
Working from home, with support from Head Office in London, this role will be responsible for implementing our fundraising strategy by developing a fundraising plan based on regional opportunities for growth and maximising income within your assigned portfolio of active volunteer fundraising groups. You will be well supported by us to achieve agreed annual income targets by organising and co-ordinating regular local campaigns and fundraising activities and events, proactively seeking new supporters, creating opportunities for current supporters and establishing and maintaining relationships with key contacts – including volunteers, speakers, schools, businesses and fundraising group leaders.
You will need to live in this region, be able to work from home and be flexible to work outside conventional office hours including weekends. The ability to travel within the region is essential along with good access to the internet.
Closing date: 28th September 2016.
Previous applicants need not apply.
