The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is an independent philanthropic organisation, headquartered in London with offices in Nairobi and New Delhi.  We work with a wide range of partners seeking to transform the lives of poor and vulnerable children in developing countries.

We aim to play a catalytic role as a funder and influencer to deliver urgent and lasting change at scale. The Adolescent Sexual Health (ASH) cluster sits within CIFF’s Survive and Thrive team.  We focus on empowering adolescent girls and boys to prevent pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and to strengthen linkages across our nutrition and child survival goals, and cross-cutting advocacy work.

Manager, Adolescent Sexual Health

This exciting new role will be responsible for a portfolio of programmes and scoping new investments to deliver our priorities in adolescent sexual and reproductive health.  Reporting to the Director of ASH, you will focus on identifying commercial solutions to improve adolescent sexual and reproductive health, leading efforts to leverage CIFF’s balance sheet in new ways, such as equity participations, loans and other market shaping activities.

You bring knowledge and understanding of financial instruments and incentives that can scale-up service delivery, reduce prices and improve efficiency and change behaviours, to benefit adolescents in our priority countries in sub-Saharan Africa and India.  A range of backgrounds will be considered but could include management consultancy experience, fast-moving consumer goods or product introduction in emerging markets.

A proven track record of success in shaping, negotiating and delivering effective partnerships is essential, together with strong project management abilities and a working knowledge of performance evaluation tools.  Experience influencing the policies of social enterprises, the private sector, NGOs or government agencies is highly desirable.  Overarching all of the above will be an innovative approach and passion for working with adolescents to improve their sexual health and wellbeing.
