Working in collaboration with the City of York Council this is an exciting new role in the voluntary sector to coordinate and support the work of the York Dementia Action Alliance (YDAA). YDAA’s vision is to turn York into a dementia friendly city in four key ways:

Raising awareness about dementia and tackling stigma and discrimination.

Being a hub for communication, information and knowledge about what makes a community dementia friendly.
Helping to raise the standard of services and resources available to people with dementia.

Working closely with the York CVS Director of Development, your responsibilities will include: coordinating the members of YDAA (circa 50 organisations) by providing research and information, organising and facilitating meetings, managing the performance and administration of the project, and developing operational plans and reports.

You will be a skilled communicator and collaborator, able to work constructively in partnership with a large number of stakeholders.  You will also be an experienced and competent administrator, with excellent organisational and IT skills.
