At Citizens Advice Sandwell we provide free, confidential and impartial advice.
People come to us with all sorts of issues. They may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems. They may be facing a crisis, or just considering their options.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to work alongside the Chief Executive in the Senior Management Team to meet the needs of the communities we serve by:
- Leading the operations function of the organisation
- Driving up performance
- Maintaining our reputation for quality services that and the quality standards we are accredited against
- Taking an active role in shaping the organizations strategy and development
- Deputising for the Chief Executive as appropriate
You will inspire those you manage to strive for excellence in all they do.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will develop, implement the aims of the organisation, the business plan and associated strategies. Ensuring that these organisational objectives translate into team and individual work plans and targets.

Citizens Advice Sandwell provides services across the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell for more than 10,500 people each year, dealing with over 36,000 problems. Services are delivered over 6 local Citizens Advice in key town centres as well as Telephone Advice Line. In addition we provide a specialist debt advice service. As a charity, we support some of the most disadvantaged and socially excluded communities in the area, with Sandwell being the 12th highest area of deprivation in the UK.
This role matters a great deal to Citizens Advice Sandwell, but most of all to the people we serve and help every day.
