The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation's heart charity with a mission to lead the fight for every heartbeat through pioneering cardiovascular research. We fund thousands of scientists in the UK carrying out cardiovascular research and our work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are helping to change the face of the UK's fight against heart disease.

The Health & Safety Manager will support and assist the Head of H&S with regard to all aspects of health and safety provision across the BHF. You’ll play a key role in making the aims of our H&S Strategic Plan happen by supporting managers to develop and nurture a culture where positive behaviours for safety and wellbeing become ‘the way we do things around here’.
The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management best practice and strategies and detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in a charitable office, warehousing, events, fundraising and retail environment. Also you’ll have excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively and be confident and assertive with a self-motivated approach and flexible attitude.
This role can either be based in our Head Office in Camden, London, Birmingham or Northampton.
