This high profile foundation seeks to invest in, or partner with, organisations with proven impact, using its profile and leverage to create a multiplier effect in resources, outcomes and knowledge and creates new initiatives with charities, social enterprises and others to find and develop new solutions. The Foundation is both fundraising and grant making and has main theme lines - mental health, veterans, young people and conservation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced major donor fundraiser to gain experience with the Foundation for a year to cover the maternity leave of the current friendly and very able Senior Development Manager. The maternity cover is available from November and we would be looking for someone to start around that time.

Primarily funded extremely successfully by major donor funders (to £6m this year and rising) and with a programme of warm contacts very much up and running, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of major philanthropic partnerships with major donors who are contributing across the Foundation’s spectrum of thematic activity as well as taking a lead on developing and delivering the strategy to secure unrestricted income, working closely with key Trustees, the CEO and the Director of Development.  There is also opportunity for line management of the Development Officer within this role.

This role is perfect for a self-motivated, responsive and well organised individual who thrives on managing donor relationships and interpreting major donor motivations innovatively in the context of changing and expanding funding priorities. This is an exciting and inspiring opportunity to work as part of a growing, rapidly evolving and dynamic team as the Foundation enters a new phase in its development. The role involves working with a number of very high profile individuals; discretion and professionalism are paramount in addition to a strategic approach to fundraising.

The team are collaborative, responsive and energetic, and there is a friendly and very positive culture.

If you’d like to have an informal chat to find out more do drop me a line or give me a call, charlotte@eardleywilmot.co.uk, 07590 058039.

The deadline for this position is rolling, so we are assessing applications as we receive them, so I look forward to hearing from you as soon as you are ready.
