Our client is one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the North West of England with over 7,000 students and a turnover of £24m. They are currently looking to recruit a Merger Project Manager on a part time basis working up to 15 hours per week.  The main focus of the role will be to assist the Chief Executive (CEO) (designate) and Deputy CEO (designate) to manage the proposed merger of our client and another Community College, and the smooth transition into one new organisation.

The successful candidate will have a degree level qualification, relevant professional qualifications or training in project management, knowledge of FE guidance/policy on merger process and knowledge of mergers in FE or similar sector and the key roles and responsibilities in the merger process. You will also possess a proven track record in managerial/consultancy work, with senior level experience, experience in risk management, experience of successful implementation of change management and organisational change as well as experience of Merger work in the education/public sector, excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, maintain systems, manage competing demands and work calmly and confidently under pressure and effective communications with a range of people and organisations.
