Wellingborough is an attractive market town in North Northamptonshire, full of historical character and surrounded by beautiful countryside. 

Position: Planning Officer 
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire 
Contract type: Permanent 
Hours: 37 hours per week 
Salary: £24,717 per annum (with the potential to earn up to £29,854)

About the Role: 
Our client is working on their Local Plan which will be at the heart of helping the authority realise its ambition of ‘Making Wellingborough a place to be proud of’ and are looking for a talented Planning Officer to join their team. They are one of the few authorities with an adopted joint Core Spatial Strategy which is prepared in partnership with the other authorities in North Northamptonshire. 

This job provides an ideal opportunity to join a small, busy planning policy and regeneration team and gain considerable experience that will enhance your planning knowledge and career prospects. You will be involved with a wide range of projects, including the preparation of a Part 2 local Plan. 

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the preparation, monitoring and review of local development documents and other spatial planning strategies for the Borough. 

About You: 

You will be able to work as part of a team or independently. You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent and will be able to display experience of working in planning and/or planning policy. 

You may have experience of the following: Planning Officer, Planning Policy, Spatial Planning, MRTPI, Built Environment, Regeneration, Local Development, Local Authority, Urban Design, Town Planning, etc.
