Care Assistant / Companion – Female (One to One Care) 

Our client is a Queen’s Awards for Enterprise winning care service provider, seeking paid Care Assistants and Companions in Southampton and surrounding areas, from Millbrook / Shirley to Bitterne / Netley to Locks Heath / Park Gate. 

They specialise in consistent, bespoke and quality companionship led service to private clients in their own homes. This is a unique service, offering a minimum of one-hour service, and designated companions to ensure continuity and an opportunity to build supporting companionship. 

Position: Paid Volunteer Companions & Befrienders (Female) 
Location: Opportunities available around Southampton, Hampshire. 
Hours: Minimum of 10 hours to approx 20 hours per week 
Salary: £8.40 - £18.50 per hour 
Benefits: Mileage allowance, holiday pay and pension scheme available 

The Role: 

They have a number of part time job vacancies, and need people during their busy times which are: 

- Early mornings / mornings – support with morning routine and help prepare breakfast. 
- Lunch times – to help prepare meals or to take clients out. 
- Evenings – to help prepare meals and assist with bedtime routine. 
- Weekends – alternate & only for a few hours. 

Within the role you could be required to help with daily activities in and around the client’s home as well as out in the community, providing companionship and in general help to enhance the quality of life for the people in your care. It is an incredibly rewarding role where you can make a real difference to someone’s life. 

About You: 

You will be naturally caring, dependable and compassionate, with time to spare. You will live in the local area and have access to your own car, with a good standard of spoken and written English, and be willing to undertake a DBS check.

You may have experience of the following: Paid Volunteer, Companion, Befriender, Elderly Care, Care Assistant, Support Work, Companionship, etc. However, experience in this field is not essential as full training is provided.
