Description

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead on the strategy for Trust and Major Donor fundraising for this organisation
* Put supporter journeys in place to ensure acquisition of new relationships as well as continuing and stewarding existing relationships
* Responsible for income targets for a team of 6
* Direct line management of 2
* Assist the Head of Department to deliver on ambitious major appeals
* Organise cultivation events for various audiences and delegate the management of these events to appropriate team members
* Organising recruitment of new staff onto the team
* Ensure that team members have clear goals to work towards
* Organise team meetings to ensure collaborative working between all fundraising departments
* Review and sign off all applications and promotional material that is delivered by the team
* Ensure all communications to donors are on brand and consistent with other departments
* Ensure appropriate prospect research is carried out by the team
* Ensure accurate budget and income projection is recorded and delivered to the organisation's finance team
* Participate in meetings with senior management team members to ensure a collaborative approach to fundraising
* Ensure accurate records are kept on the organisations CRM
* Ensure fundraising best practise is adhered to by the whole team and keep abreast of sector changes


Profile

Person Specification:

* Experience in at least two of the following: Major Donor fundraising, Special Events fundraising, Corporate fundraising and Trust fundraising
* Experience of managing fundraising teams and/or departments
* Experience of budget management
* Experience of strategising innovative fundraising techniques
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* An up to date knowledge of fundraising techniques
* Experience of using a fundraising CRM
* An interest in social welfare
