Chief Executive Officer - Autism Wessex
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: c£80,000 plus 10% discretionary bonus
Founded in 1968 by parents of children with autism, Autism Wessex is a regional charity providing high quality specialist services for people affected by autism and associated difficulties across the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
While there is no cure for autism, Autism Wessex believes that with appropriate education, support or care and by making the world an easier place to understand, people with autism can be active citizens enjoying maximum independence and a good quality of life.
Autism Wessex’s help is varied and far reaching, providing three main areas of support:
- Portfield School for education, residential and respite care
- Community Wessex for social care services
- Advocacy and Advice services
Services are available to anyone who needs it - people with autism and associated difficulties, families and professionals. Anyone affected by autism can rely on Autism Wessex for support.
As Autism Wessex approaches its 50th year, it is seeking a CEO who is a truly dynamic, empowering and an inspirational leader. This is an exciting opportunity to lead Autism Wessex in ensuring the efficient running of the organisation and in shaping its strategic direction.
