vInspired is the nation's leading youth volunteering charity and we’re inspired by the belief that young people’s creativity, energy and optimism can change the world. To enable this to happen we provide young people with opportunities to do amazing things through volunteering and social action. 
We have created more than one million volunteering opportunities in the past eight years. In the past year alone almost 32,000 young people used our online volunteering marketplace to connect with more than 1,500 charities.

We have a very clear plan for where we want to be by 2020 and the role of Head of Income Generation & Partnerships is central to our ambitions for scale, reach and recognition across the UK. 

The Role

As a member of the Senior Management Team reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services, the post holder will contribute to the overall direction and management of the organisation and will have specific responsibility for the strategic leadership, direction and development of vInspired’s commercial capabilities and income generation. 

You will lead on identifying new business opportunities across the public, private and voluntary sectors, swiftly developing robust, realistic and well researched pipelines to secure a sustainable income stream for vInspired.

The Person

As an innovator you will be capable of identifying and shaping opportunities and creating new alliances and partnerships.  
 
You will possess a track record in income generation.

You may have charity sector experience underpinned by a successful commercial career.
Your relationship building, people management and budgeting experience will be demonstrable.

You will be used to working at the highest levels within a range of organisations, e.g. government departments, companies, Trusts, Foundations, private equity.

Experience of charity retail operations and product development will be the icing on the cake.
