Senior PR and Media Officer
Salary: up to £33,000 depending on experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for The British Kidney Patient Association as Senior PR and Media Officer, at a time of significant growth and a new five year strategy. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and deliver a comprehensive PR and media plan for the charity.
In this critical communications role, you’ll be responsible for managing the British Kidney Patient Association’s media profile and relations, including social media, to ensure we are recognised as the UK’s leading kidney patient support charity, to maximise proactive and reactive media opportunities and to develop and lead on corporate communications and campaigns.
A creative thinker and excellent copywriter, the successful candidate will have a strong track record of increasing media presence and coverage, ideally for a charity or health related organisation, as well as expertise across traditional and digital/social media. Experienced in successfully planning, and implementing a broad range of PR and media activity and helping to create compelling national and local campaigns, the post will suit a proactive “hands on” individual who “makes things happen”.
