We’re Altogether Better, a new charity from the team behind BeatBullying, is seeking an experienced Senior Press Officer to help develop – and lead on running – a new in-house Press Office.  

Assisting in promoting, establishing and embedding the We’re Altogether Better brand, the successful candidate will implement the charity’s communications strategy and take charge of the day-to-day functioning of the Press Office. This means proactive and reactive media relations to secure outstanding media coverage in national, regional, local and trade media; crisis communications; training and managing spokespeople; developing case studies; and managing media monitoring and evaluation. This will demand determination and quick thinking – and the ability to spot and secure media opportunities that promote the appropriate elements of the organisation’s portfolio of programmes to the right people at the right time.

You will be a good all-rounder, adept at writing press releases, pitching news stories and features, and developing and managing a range of creative PR activities. You will also have exceptional people skills, and the ability to work closely young people, journalists and celebrities alike.
