The Sheffield Young Carers Project is a charity, who supports children and young people between the ages 8 to 21 years, taking on a caring responsibility for an adult with a disability, severe illness, mental health problems or issues with substance misuse.
We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual who will take forward and continue to lead the development of a diverse range of restricted and unrestricted fundraising to include grants, trusts and foundations, legacies, corporate, community, and donors. You will work closely with the project Director and take responsibility for a rolling programme of applications. Ideally, you will have experience of event management, promotion, PR, budgeting and the management of volunteers.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent research skills, have a positive track record in securing funding and be able to recognise and pursue new funding opportunities. We are seeking an organised and self-motivated individual who will be an excellent communicator with exceptional inter-personal skills. A flair for writing, attention to detail and first class communication skills are a must. Experience of the charitable sector fundraising would be essential.
