Membership Officer

A well established membership body are seeking an experienced membership officer to join their London team, the successful candidate will have strong experience within a membership environment and have excellent customer service skills.

Main duties for the Membership Officer:
To administer and deal with individual membership applications- obtaining references and payments where required
To liaise with members renewing applications and ensuring commitment of members (retention)
To process membership subscription payments, including managing direct debit facility and adhering to all financial protocols and procedure
To provide regular fulfilment of membership mailings including new member packs, renewal communications and lapse emails and letters
To act a the first point of contact for new and existing members- ensuring all details are accurately entered into the CRM
To provide weekly stats and monthly reports on membership recruitment and retention activity against targets
To work with Head of Membership to ensure that communication with members is always improved

Essential criteria for the Membership Officer:
Must have experience of working within a membership environment
Must have excellent communication skills
Must have a good understanding of CRM databases
Must have excellent administration skills including MS office experience
Must have the ability to work to tight deadlines
Must have empathy with NFP organisation
Must have a professional and polished attitude.
