Legacy and Funding Officer

With its network of parishes covering the country, the Church of England plays an active role in national life, bringing an important Christian dimension to the nation as well as strengthening community life. The National Church Institutions (NCIs) support and promote the aims of the Church.

Legacy income across the Church of England is currently around £50 million. We’re looking to double it. Our parishes also need support in accessing funding beyond regular giving and donations. Your success is likely to come from working effectively across the Church to help parishes and dioceses take advantage of the resources and good practice offered, rather than managing central campaigns.

The skills needed combine excellent marketing and communications skills, and a good understanding of the Church of England. You will also be pragmatic and flexible to meet the wide and varied challenges of the role.

The National Church Institutions (NCIs) support and promote the aims of the Church of England. Applications from a minority ethnic background and from women are particularly welcome as they are currently under-represented in parts of the NCIs.
