Assessment and Reconnection Workers
Salary: £10.50 per hour (£11.77 per hour inc. holiday pay)
Location: Various locations in London inc. Shepherds Bush
Hours: Various adhoc shifts (12-hour shifts, mainly nights 8pm – 8am)
Our client is a charity whose mission is to support, challenge and inspire homeless people as they make their journey from the streets to a home. They have recently set up an assessment hub where rough sleepers are referred to by their No Second Night Out outreach team. The purpose of the assessment hub is to find accommodation for clients within 72 hours and they are recruiting for Assessment and Reconnection Workers to provide cover for a variety of night shifts.
Previous experience of working with vulnerable clients groups is essential including homeless, ex-offenders and those with mental health or substance misuse issues. Proven capability of formally assessing individual needs and options is crucial, as well as
communicating the role of the service and benefits of reconnection with a wide range of
people, including clients, staff and representatives of other agencies. The ideal
applicants will be able to hit the ground running and be comfortable working within a chaotic
environment, which involves managing challenging behaviour.
Please note this client will only accept a Prospectus CRB, therefore to be considered for this role you must be willing to pay to process a new CRB through us. This post is also subject to references which cover the last 5 years.
