Head of Buying

This is an exciting time to join this leading organisation as they embark on the biggest investment programme in their history and delivering seven major new projects over the next five years.

They now looking to recruit a Head of Buying to lead a buying team which selects and develop products of quality and excellence that generate income and enhance our reputation. They buy across three key product categories, plants, gifts and books.

You will be responsible for the retail lines at their trading units across the country and lead the Mail Order and Online retailing and Image and Product licensing. Behind the scenes you will oversee supply chain management ensuring that supplier performance criteria are met.

You should have a record of managing successful retail buying teams for multi-retail environments ideally across differing product sectors. A track record of successful brand licensing management and web based retailing would be to your advantage. Good communication and negotiation skills are essential.
