A leading membership body are seeking an experienced Project Manager for 4.5 months. Home based (Beds and Herts) starting asap £28k pro rata.
To ensure the successful implementation, delivery and outcome achievement of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire project. Will oversee the programme (4 x cohorts of learners), and will deliver two of the four courses. They will have line management responsibility for the Project Co-ordinator.
Deliver training and support to young, unemployed people looking to access roles in childcare settings
Deliver Work in Early Years programme to ensure that candidates gain a good understanding of the content and expectations within early years settings
Promote the programme and recruit candidates in line with contractual targets
Work closely with Jobcentre Plus, partner organisations and local businesses to progress applicants into employment or further education
Work with applicants to develop Individual Learning Plans and support them to achieve their learning and employment aspirations
Develop and embed systems to ensure the programme runs effectively and meets Conditions of Grant and audit requirements
Work with Jobcentre Plus to interview all suitable applicants, short-list and accept onto the programme
Work with partners to secure venues for delivery
Induct all participants into programme regarding expectations, including training, and job search activity
Encourage job application including matching suitable applicants with local settings and training providers
Ensure applicants progression into employment or further education, tracking for 13 weeks to ensure employment/further education is sustained
Ensure applicants follow procedures including completion of attendance records and sickness and absence reporting
Ensure that all reporting and notification procedures are adhered to and relevant supporting documentation submitted (starter/leaver information including any Jobcentre Plus documentation, individual learning plans, invoices and payment claims, staff leaver destination information, etc)
Provide line management and support for the Project Co-ordinator, in line with policies and procedures
Provide regular written reports identifying progress against work programme targets
Carry out any further duties reasonably requested by line management and commensurate with the post
Professional qualification in early years or a related field (Level 3 or equivalent minimum)

Experience of training and supporting young people
Experience of multi-agency work
Ability to train, support and supervise learners
Ability to support and advise childcare providers
Ability to plan, organise, co-ordinate and prioritise work with minimum supervision
Ability to manage a diverse workload
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised team worker and networker
Ability to build and manage relationships
Driving Licence with access to own vehicle
