The Government’s current healthcare reforms and developments around the future commissioning of NHS and social care, and the Palliative Care Funding Review present significant challenges and opportunities for voluntary sector providers, such as hospices. The challenges include a move away from services being commissioned by the NHS through block contracts, to one where hospices will need to respond to competitive tendering or Any Qualified Provider procurement models.
Our client wants to embark on a programme of organisational development to ensure it is fully conversant with, and positioned to respond quickly and effectively to, the new and different demands it will face around commissioning. To achieve this, they are looking for a suitably experienced practitioner to work with us on a 6-month consultancy basis to enable us to establish, develop and sustain the structures, capacity, systems and skills base this will require.
You will be required to review and develop relevant preparation and planning, Competitive Tendering and Any Qualified Provider (AQP) strategies.
