Director of Finance
Salary: Up to £90,000 + bonus and pension

Established in 1979, The Disabilities Trust is a leading national charity, providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning difficulties as well as for children and adults with autism.
As a result of the forthcoming retirement of our current Director, we are now looking for a suitably qualified individual with an appropriate mix of skills, experience and fervour to drive The Trust forward onto the next stage of our development which will compliment your own career ambitions.
Critical to your success will be making sure that we continue to find innovative and financially sustainable ways to deliver our diverse range of services and provide even better value for our end users, whilst simultaneously ensuring that as an organisation we maximise the development opportunities that come our way.
As our Director of Finance, you will be responsible for providing expert and strategic financial advice right across the Trust and for exercising effective leadership of your staff teams. You will be involved in all of our service areas and will provide the Trust with the vigorous financial stewardship that we need to ensure our continued success in a rapidly changing financial and user based landscape.
An integral part of our strong and collaborative Senior Management Team; you will report directly to our Chief Executive.
You will be an outcome driven and professionally qualified CCAB Accountant with the ability to rapidly acquire the responsibilities necessary to fulfil the role of Director of Finance in a commercially focussed, Civil Society sector organisation. In this regard, your career experiences to date may have been gained from a variety of sectors.
You will need to demonstrate a strong mix of corporate and strategic financial leadership experience allied to an exemplary track record of robust financial management. You will be comfortable leading conversations and negotiating with our partners, be a team player and be able to demonstrate real vision and passion for our mission.
