A leading housing charity are seeking an experienced PA to support a busy CEO for a maternity contract for 6 months starting ASAP.
Provide high quality admin and secretarial support to the CEO and Management
Committee.
Operate an effective and comprehensive Human Resources service, ensuring
compliance with the policies and procedures and legal requirements
Maintain and develop administrative systems, providing an admin support service to
managers and staff.
Secretarial support to the Chief Executive, including:
Diary management, scheduling meetings/appointments, ensuring all necessary background information/papers are available
Answering queries and incoming correspondence (including email) on the Chief Executive's behalf
Typing/copying minutes, reports, and correspondence as required, including audio typing
Drafting correspondence and reports as required
Maintaining lists of contacts, using Microsoft Outlook
Organising and servicing meetings of outside bodies/committees where the Chief Executive has a leading role; representing the Chief Executive at meetings where necessary
HR Responsibilities:
Knowledge of HR policies and procedures; to keep up to date with changes
relevant legislation; to answer queries from managers and staff. To work with management to develop HR policies and procedures.
Update all employee records, including:
Liaise with the Finance Officer and Manager to ensure that payroll records are correct and up to date.
Recruitment and induction of new staff
Organise training resources
Successful candidates must have the below:
2 years experience PA / HR experience within the charity sector
Minute Taking
Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages
Excellent communication skills
