Would you like the opportunity to change the lives of young people? Our client is a leading provider of services supporting young homeless people. We are currently seeking experienced and passionate applicants to join our locum bank of Supported Housing Officers.
Promoting independence through supporting young people to achieve a sustainable and independent future, you will be responsible for managing referrals and lettings and minimising rent arrears. You will be advising them on benefits, accessing training, education and work, as well as carrying out regular health and safety inspections of the accommodation.
Experience of working with vulnerable client groups is essential, as well as a proven ability to manage a caseload, complete risk assessments and work with individuals in supported planning. The ideal applicants will have a strong knowledge of support needs such as homelessness, mental health and substance misuse.
Please note that based on the demands of our client, we are only able to register candidates seeking a minimum of 28 hours work weekly and who have 4 days per week availability for a duration of 6 months. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are interested in covering night shifts.
A CRB check issued in the last 6 months is essential or you must be willing to pay to process a new CRB through Prospectus. Your application will be subject to references which cover the last 3 years.
